She was a lovely lady, and will be sadly missed by all. Her positive attitude should inspire us all. Thrombocythaemia was an aspect of her problems, most likely caused by the Cancer that finally took her on the 11th of May. Her love of life was apparent in her posts, which I encourage you to read in rememberance. Respect.

I have been off the computer for a while - working vacation beginning of the month, then overwhelmed with all the holiday stuff that I didn't do when I normally do it.

Also, my hem has been experimenting with lowering my hu.
I was originally on 2 500 mg a day. Platelet count came down to it's lowest of under 150,000. At that point, hem told me to go to 1 a day. I'm the 28 year old kiwi girl with ET (thought I'd better refresh your memory as I haven't written for a while!). I recently had my haemo appt with platelet count in the mid 700's (my range is 600-early 900's to date). So I'm still on baby asprin for now. I've been really tired lately and having a lot of digestive troubles plus the odd migraine but other than that not too bad (these may or may not be ET related. It can be so hard to tell!) My other headache is a sharp stabbing pain, sometimes over my eye!! I have recently began Aspirin daily and the consultant says most people find the headaches stop? Is this generally everyones experience?
