Hello all, It has been a while since I've been and and I just wanted to say Happy Spring to everyone! I go back to Hem on Wed; we shall see where my counts
are now. I am expecting more of the same - low end of normal RBC, slightly elevated WBC with high neutrophil count, and high platelets. Never been above
650,000 for platelets, and 2 mo ago I was mid 500's. My guess is still in 500's. Its a little game I play - let's guess my counts!
I have some
mild "symptoms" (naggy headaches, pins & needles and numbness in hands/feet, tiredness) but as I have said before, I have no idea what to
attribute them to if anything. I certainly cannot pin anything on ET. Or myeloproliferative/myelodysplastic disease - unclassified (MDS/MPD-U). Since it still
isn't crystal clear which I have. What I cannot figure out is why my Hem is continuing to hold off on BMB. He seems confident that it is either one or the
other, but wants to wait until my platelets are consistently rising before doing a BMB. Part of me thinks, "Just do it and get it over with", but he
said even after BMB it is not always 100% clear. Has anyone else heard this as well?? Also, anyone been dx'd with MDS/MPD-U??? Just rambling...to folks
that "get it".
Hope everyone is well. Patty
