All the discussions over the merits or demerits of either A or Hu has got me into a quandry. I only just signed the consent forms of the clinical trials for being on A. seems they forgot when I got diagnosed 5 years ago.
I thought I was clear in my mind about taking A since I have pretty good on the meds and from what we gather there is a slightly increased risk of leukemia with Hu and a slightly increased risk of myelofibrosis with A but the Haemo doctors say there is no hard evidence. My own doctor says only one of her patients a very elderly woman developed Leukemia and she might have got it anyway regardless of the drug.
I am told I can leave the trial at any time without the need to explain but do I want to. I really dont know. I hate feeling this uncertainty just like I felt, like we all felt, when first diagnosed.
Its hard asking advice from the doctor because she keeps turning it round on me saying the choice of medicine is mine. Who else is still on A and are you guys and girls still happy with it,
Greg
