Wendy, I was sent to a Kidney Specialist a few weeks ago... was found my kidneys function to be 34 percent, and my iron level very low 17 was the number I think he said. I have my 5 th iron IV Mon. 1-26-04 should be the last. I do have anemia. I can't tell yet if the iron has done anything for me. I don't think I have kidney problems more then a few months to year. I started swelling and blood pressure rising my only symptons. I,too would like to know if my kidney problem is shared by other ET suffers???
I do hope more people will share with us. We need to know if what we feel is common or should we talk about it to our doctors. I had to say any thing that will start more tests if not needed. I don't want any more medicene to take.
