This is an interesting thead because the inherited disease in my family was Addisons Disease. My Grandmother and all but one of her siblings died of the disease. Nowadays its corrected just by taking one steroid a day but until the advent of steroids was a destructive killer.

The interesting point of Addisons Disease however is that it is a platelet disorder. In our case we produce too many platelets but in the case of AD its too few. But since it is a platelet disorder there might be some connection.
